Melinda G. Robinson, 58, a native of Gibson, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, May 28.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Robinson and Joshua Glen Robertson; daughters, Michele Redman, Angelina Preston and Danielle Robinson; brothers, Irvin, Raymond, Roger and Bailey Robertson; sisters, Roslyn Williams, Jonette Johnson and Deirdre Short; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Robinson; parents, Irvin and Beatrice Robertson; daughter, Shevanda P. Gibson; and sisters, Joyce Robinson and Selina Wood.
She was Baptist and a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching T.V. and spending time with family. She was a homemaker.
The funeral service was Monday, June 1, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson with burial at the church cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
