Melvin Beauty, Jr., 60, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Bayou Dularge, Louisiana, died at 3:35 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014.
Mr. Beauty is survived by his sons, Troy (Mary) Green and Malcolm Latrell Beauty; brothers, Edward Sr. (Sandria) and Marvin (Yvonne) Beauty; sisters, Lianna (Benjamin) Coleman, Rosie and Josie Beauty; Rebecca (Wilfred) Scott, Katherine Beamon Brenda (Ronnie) Parker, Elaine (George Gerald) Smith and Lorraine (Stevie) Coleman; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Beauty Sr. and Mable Westley Beauty; grandparents, Eddie and Rebecca Neville Westley and Nixon and Hattie Jenkins Beauty; and sister, Dianne Ned Bolden.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at Jones Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. until funeral time at First Corinthian Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, the church.
Burial is at St. Luke Baptist Cemetery in Dularge.
