January 28, 2010Melvin “Shotgun” McKinley, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Mazie McKinley; sons, Karl, Steve (Mary), Craig and Shawn McKinley; daughters, Pamela, Malika and Sharon McKinley; brothers, William (Jeannie) and James (Mary Lee) McKinley; sisters, Thelma Butler, Hazel Burns and Dorothy Gills; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is buried at Southdown Cemetery.
