Melvin “Melee” White Sr., 60, a native of Modeste and a resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Wednesday, February 25.
He is survived by his sons, Melvin White Jr. of Darrow, Michael White of Donaldsonville and Stanley White of Riverside, Ca.; daughter, Shineka White of Donaldsonville; four sisters; three brothers; seven grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen White; and parents, Claiborne and Celina White.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at St. Paul Baptist Church in White Castle, La., with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Asberry Methodist Church Cemetery in White Castle.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
