Melvina “Ma-Mou” Williams, 91, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, May 12, 2007.

Visitation will from 11 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Houma. A religious service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Southdown Cemetery in Houma.

She is survived by her foster daughter, Martha Wolfe of Houma; one sister, Albertha Smith Washington; one granddaughter; nine foster grandchildren; 35 foster great-grandchildren; and 17 foster great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Williams and Era Brooks; and one son, Elijah McKay.

She was a member of New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
