Merlin James Gaudet, 66, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010.
He is survived by his mother, Velma S. Gaudet; son, Thomas Gaudet; daughter, Rebecca Gaudet Guidry; brother, Ruben J. Gaudet; and three grandchildren, Benton Thomas Gaudet, Jenna Nicole Guidry and Jake Paul Caillouet.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar L. Gaudet; two sons, Nich Charles Gaudet and Merlin Gaudet Jr.; and one sister, Linda Ann G. Foret.
He is buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
