Michael Anthony Arton, 44, a native of Franklin, La., and resident of Breaux Bridge, La., died Monday, June 3, 2013.
Mr. Arton was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his children, Amy, Kay, Jackson, Ally and Ava Arton; fiancé, Brandi Buxton; mother, Judith Arton; and sisters, Laura Hayes, Donna Arton and Lynette Pellerin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Arton Sr.; brother, Nicholas Arton Jr.; and grandparents, Lionel Sr. and Mary Arton and Virgil Meyers and Hazel Boudreaux.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Ibert’s Mortuary with services to follow. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
