Michael Hal Martin, 58, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
Mr. Martin was the Lafourche Parish Assessor and past president of the Lafourche Parish Bar Association, Rotary Club and Lafourche Chamber. He was a member of the Louisiana Assessors’ Association, Knights of Columbus, L.O.P.A. and past co-chairman of the American Cancer Society.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tammy Martin; son, Hal (Alexandra) Martin; parents, Leroy and Dot Martin; brother, Perry Martin; and sister, Lisa Martin.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow, La., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
