Michael Lou McLaughlin, 75, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and resident of Houma, La., died on Monday, January 2, 2017.
Mr. McLaughlin loved picking pecans in the backyard with his grandchildren and attending school and sporting events. He also treasured his travels with his wife and close friends. He was known for his ability to make others laugh.
Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Arlene Bergeron McLaughlin; children, Melissa Guidry, Monica (David) Parish and Mitchell (Pam) and Micaela McLaughlin; sister, Pamela McLaughlin Spiers; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Interment is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
