Michael Roby

Michael Joseph Roby, 59, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and resident of Napoleonville, La., died at 5:08 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009.

Mr. Roby was a deputy with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Solar Roby; son, Micah Roby; brothers, John, Sam, Stan and Steven Roby; sisters, Halla Steiner and Mary Freeman; great-aunt, Lucille Politz; uncle, Sam (Cathy) Giambrone Jr.; brother-in-law, John Landry; sister-in-law, Linda Landry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Lucia Giambrone Roby; grandparents, Sam Sr. and Annie Politz Giambrone; father-in-law, Sam Solar Jr.; and mother-in-law, Ella Pittman Solar.
