Miguel Joseph Prosperie Jr., 81, a native and resident of Montegut, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.
Mr. Prosperie was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Louisiana National Guard. He loved cooking, gardening and fishing. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Prosperie; daughters, Sandra Dupre, Rhonda and Laurie Voisin and Lisa Prosperie; sister, Rosemary Chaisson; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Sr. and Lydia Prosperie; brother, Roy Prosperie; and sisters, Ruth Ruiz and Phylis Thibodeaux. (Chauvin)
