Mildred Simon Dorsey

Mildred Simon Dorsey, 75, a native of Klotzville, La., and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009.

She is survived by daughters, Gail and Bonnie Simon, Wanda (Edward) Foster, Sheryl (Curtis) Allen, Kim (Emerson) Foster Sr., Connie (Willard) Harvey, Tarean Simon, Paulette Simon and Jacqueline Williams; son, Michael (Aleda) Simon; sisters, Earline Lemon, Eula Jones, Effie Stewart and Joyce Patterson; brothers, Charles Hirsch, Alford, Mable, Leonard, Carlton and Roland Simon; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dorsey; parents, Mable and Elvia Simon; brother, Alton Simon; four grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to funeral time, at First Israel Baptist Church in Belle Rose. The service begins at 11 a.m.

He will be buried at First Israel Baptist Church Cemetery in Belle Rose.
