Mildred Soudelier Vito, 84, a native and resident of Bourg, La., died Thursday, May 22, at 7:25 p.m.

She is survived by her sons, Alfred Vito and wife Dolores, Carl Vito, David Vito and Ricky Vito of Bourg; daughters, Azalie Vito of Bourg, Shirley Naquin of Montegut, La., Patsy Ledet of Montegut, Marlene Naquin and husband Larry of Bourg, and Carol LeCompte and husband Derryl of Point-Aux-Chene, La.; brothers, Darcy, Morris, Jeffrey and Russel Soudelier; sisters, Edna Dubois, Margaret Rhodes, and Patsy and Emma Bergeron; 39 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Vito; parents, William and Agnes Ledet Soudelier; sons, Clarence and Lawrence Vito; daughter, Genevieve Vito; brothers, James and Henry Soudelier; sons-in-law, Raymond Brunet and Donald Naquin; daughter-in-law, Nancy Vito; grandsons, Clarence Vito Jr., Gerrieth Ledet and Wilfred Ledet Jr.; granddaughter, Patricia Ledet Blanchard; great-grandsons, Albert Barns Jr., Jonathan Matthew Egeler and Gage Ledet; and great-granddaughter, Alexas Ledet.

She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and loved by many more.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, May 26, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the St. Ann Parish Center in Bourg. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 27 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. She will be buried at St. Ann Cemetery.
