Tillman talks Terrebonne, reflects on vital three terms

Milton Joseph Chauvin, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011.


Mr. Chauvin was a Louisiana State Trooper for 20 years and worked for the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for 18 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy.


He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dee Dee Chauvin; sons, Marty (Susan) and Brett (Deanna) Chauvin; brothers, Norman and Shelby Chauvin; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ursin and Philones Chauvin; brothers, Ursin, Jesse, Lee Roy and Joseph Chauvin; and sisters, Jenne Barrios, Carmen Waler, Clarisse Enoch and Rita Chauvin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Walter Lanier Masonic Lodge in Thibodaux, La. (Falgout)
