Mittie S. Cortez, 88, a native of Bayou Sale, La., and resident of Paradis, La., died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Murphy Cortez; daughters, Bonnie Benoit, Susie Candies, Melinda Fahrig, Linda Ayo and Rachel Molinere; 18 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Sr. and Cecile Stevens; brothers, Arnold and Wallace Jr. Stevens; sisters, Wilamina Broussard, Helen Stevens, Emily Breaux, Faye Brunner and Ella Boudreaux; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial is at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, La. (Falgout)
