Mitzi Corkern Crochet, 44, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013.
Mrs. Crochet was a Nicholls State University graduate and member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She was a teacher for the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
She is survived by her husband, Leland Crochet Jr.; son, Jeffrey Mike Jr.; father, Claude Corkern Jr.; stepson, Leland Crochet III; stepdaughters, Allie Crochet and Haleigh Everette; and one step-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Corkern.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Chauvin Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery. (Chauvin)
