Mona Dufrene Fonseca, 72, a native and resident of Gheens, La. died Sunday, September 2, 2007, from 3:10 p.m.


She is survived by her husband, Linton Fonseca; one son, Mike Fonseca; one daughter, Patrice Fonseca Brunet; five brothers, Edmond, Herman, Harrel, Howard, Jesse Dufrene, Sr.; two sisters, Janet Chaisson and Marion Dufrene Walton; and four grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Eva Dufrene.

Mona was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a treator.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 4, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 5, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens. She will be buried in Holy Savoir Cemetery in Lockport, La.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
