Attorneys continue fight for back taxes

Mr. Alfred James Frank, 75, a native of Opelousas, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009.


He is survived by his former wife, Shirley M. Frank; daughters, Joyce Marie, Waltresa Mayo, Michelle Denise Schexnader, Alfreda (Henry Jr.) Jones and Lacresha (Christopher) Riley; sons, Alfred Pitts and Stanford Sr. and Cornell Mart; sisters, Rosemary F. Brown, Lois Joseph and Shirley Ann Gordon; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Sr. and Dora Guillory Frank; brothers, Wilfred, Mark Jr. and Jimmy Frank; sister, Mary Ann Frank; grandparents, Arichelle and Rosa Mae Frank; and grandchild, Christiana K. Riley.

He served on the Deacon Board at Bellevue Baptist Church in Opelousas and was also a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church Brotherhood Organization.

A religious service will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Bellevue Street Baptist Church in Opelousas with burial at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
