Mr. Dallas LeeJean Perry, 77, a native of Geneva, Ala., and a resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009.


He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Doug (Mamie) Darcy; daughter, Mary (John) Glass; brother, Jimmy Mathis; sister, Mary Nell Young; and six grandchildren.

Dallas was preceded in death by his mother; two brothers; and three sisters.


He worked for the City of Morgan City for many years. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. He was a missionary for the deaf, and made several journeys out of the country. He was also the former president of the La Deaf Association. He was a remarkable man who always had a smile as big as life itself. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved this great man.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Hargrave Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery.

Hargrave Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
