Mr. George D. Landwehr, 86, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009 at 3:50 p.m.


He is survived by his nieces, Ramona (Lester) Griffin and Rebecca (William) Welker; nephews, Robert (Beth) and Glen Fenasci, and Robert (Norma) and Randy (Carol) Gautreaux; and sister-in-law, Lena Gautreaux.

He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion. He retired from the Department of Veteran Affairs. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed telling World War II stories.

He is buried at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery.
