Mr. Howard Phillip Barbo Sr.

Mr. Howard Phillip Barbo Sr., 69, a native of Shreveport, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Breaux Barbo; sons, Howard Jr., Thomas (Lee), Stoney (Suzanne), Eddie (Tina), Charlie (Christina) and Donnie (Rachael) Barbo; daughters, Debbie (Shane) Farr and Raquel (Christopher) Potter; stepsons, Errol (Tammy) Breaux and Todd (Mary) Gilfour; stepdaughter, Peggy (Aubrey) Aucoin; brother, Charles Barbo; sisters, Nora Price, Carol Pitre, Clarine Canterbury and Linda Ridgon; 22 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ruby Lee Barbo; and brothers, Nolan, Charlie Jr. and Mickey Barbo.

He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Bayou Blue, La.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, and 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 1st Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
