Mr. John Brent David

Mr. John Brent David, 50, a native of New Roads, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Sutzie David; father, John J. David; daughter, Kristen David Ladd; sons, Scott, Jacob, Dylan and Cole David; sister, Anne Margaret David; brothers, C. Blaine (Sheila), J. Brad and J. Scott (Sonya).

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne E. Pourciau.

A distinguished businessman, he was the owner of Bayou Express Seafood and Catering, Inc. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Unity #267, Jerusalem Temple, New Orleans Motorcycle Unit, Houma Motorcycle Unit, Houma Shrine Club, Oasis Shrine Club and the Order of the Eastern Star, A.W. Connolly Chapter #117. He was Catholic.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Roads. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. Monday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
