Mr. Louis Joseph David

Mr. Louis Joseph David, 84, a native of Napoleonville, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Ione Gordy David; daughter, Joy (Hartley Sr.) Bergeron; son, Edwin (Elsie) David Sr.; daughter, Margie David; son, Kevin David; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Wilson (Jo) David; and sister, Winnefred (Edward) Landry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eno and Essie Blanchard David; sons, Louis Jr. and Bobby David; and granddaughter, Melissa Bergeron.

He was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic

Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
