Mr. Michael Skinner, 53, a resident of New Iberia, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at 7:18 a.m.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Orelia Skinner; wife, Joyce Skinner; brothers, Ezekiel, Isiah, Tony and Anthony Skinner; sisters, Bessie (Elmer) Singleton, Catherine Skinner and Mamie Johnson; sons, Michael Jr. and Emmanuel Skinner, and Jamone Bias; stepson. Harold Sylvester; daughters, Shermeka Young, Mona Sylvester and Yolonda Carbins; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Pilgrim Grove Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
