Council to vote on public safety director post
October 28, 2009Mr. Nelson Joseph Lirette, 68, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Monday, Oct. 26, at 9:45 a.m.
He is survived by his father, Conrad Lirette Sr.; sons, Wayne (Ramona) and Ray (Cheryl) Lirette; brothers, Conrad “T-Day” Jr., Thomas and Stephen Lirette; sister, Winona Guidry; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Pinell Lirette; and mother, Winona Thibodeaux Lirette.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
