Mr. Stephen Allen Matherne Sr., 54, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hunter Matherne; parents, Ernest S. and Carol Labbe’ Matherne; sons, Stephen Jr. (Sonia) and Mitchel (Dawn) Matherne; step-children, Daphne, Hunter (Danielle) and Desiree’ Daigle; brothers, David, Robert and James Matherne; sisters, Gwen Volker, Karen Davis and Rebecca Matherne; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest S. Sr. and Josephine DeRoche Matherne, and Waldo J. Sr. and Eldies Landry Labbe’.
Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, La.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
