Mrs. Gloria Tregre Brewer

Mrs. Gloria Tregre Brewer, 61, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009.

She is survived by her husband, George E. Brewer; sons, Ted (Kelly) and Brad (Mindy) Brewer; daughter, Patricia (Robert) Ragsdale; six grandchildren; mother, Gloria Benoit Tregre; sister, Gwenette (Daniel) Thomas; and brothers, Woodrow (Yvonne), Carl (Ann), Charles and Terry (Barbara) Tregre.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Tregre; and brother, Warren Tregre.

She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was an organ donor and benefited four lives from her donation. She was a notary public and co-owner of Brewer Wholesale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church with burial at St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.
