Feds provide grant to close GIWW breaches

Mrs. Mae Chauvin, 88, a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at 7:40 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Chauvin; sons, Tom (Sandra) and Jules (Sheila) Chauvin; daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Francois, Peggy (Michael) Goodman and Annette (Rory) Fanguy; brother, Russell (Nanny) Authement; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcide and Nita Authement.
She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
