Ms. Hazel Beatrice Coleman Gibson

Ms. Hazel Beatrice Coleman Gibson, 88, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Gibson, La., died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at 2:25 a.m.

She is survived by her step-mother, Grace Coleman; daughters, Carolyn (Royal) Peterson, Rosemary Keeling, Ella Banks and Barbara and Mary Gibson; sons, Rev. Lawless Jr. (Donna), Lloyd, Louis, Robert, Sterling (Catherine), Darryl, Clyde (Marie) and Paul (Jackie) Gibson; sisters, Mary Lewis and Victoria Coleman; brother, Arthur LaGarde; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawless Gibson Sr.; and parents, Ellen Brown Coleman and Van Coleman.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
