Ms. Sandra Ward, 61, a native of New York and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Ward; sister, Earline Withers; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Paul Ward; parents, Cicero and Eva Mae Simmons; Brothers, Vernell and Melvin Simmons; and sisters, Eliza Mae Moore and Helen Simmons.
She was Baptist. She was a member of Raymond Stafford Post # 513 Women’s Auxiliary. Her hobbies included surfing the internet.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Raymond Stafford American Legion Post # 513 in Thibodaux.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
