Ms. Shirley J. Fontane

Ms. Shirley J. Fontane, 74, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at 12:12 a.m.

She is survived by her son, Patrick (Dwana) Fontane; daughter, Anna (Thomas) Peters; and five grandchildren.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph Hospice.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
