Ms. Verce Lee Brown Smith, 77, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Smith; sons, Rev. Troy (Kathy) Sr. and Alvin Smith; sisters, Mary Ingram, Mary Alice Brumfield and Dianne White; brothers, Robert and Royal Brown; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was Baptist. Her hobbies included cooking.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Residence Baptist Church in Houma with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Brooklyn Cemetery in Raceland, La.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
