January 9, 2012Muriel Dolores Greenlaw Gilmer, 87, a native of Mayport, Fla., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012.
Mrs. Gilmer lived and contributed to the family and community from a heart of benevolence. Her life was devoted to service through Coteau Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Leslie (Kimbelyn), Timothy (Sandy), Michael (Marie), Kendall (Cindy) and David (Cathy) Gilmer; daughters, Mary Murray, April (Robert) Wickline and Sandy Ridge; brother, W.C. Greenlaw; sister, Norma Buquet; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Gilmer; parents, Alonzo Greenlaw and Roxanne Andrade; and brother, Clarence Greenlaw.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Coteau Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Red Chute, La. (Chauvin)
