Myrthee Granier

Myrthee Rodrigue Granier, 83, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died Sunday, September 23, 2007, at 8:01 a.m.

She is survived by three sons, Jessie Granier, Jr. and his wife Erma, David Granier, Sr. and his wife Ramona, and Denis Granier and his wife Melissa; one daughter, Mary G. Granier and her husband Willis; four brothers, Anthony, Peter Steve, Jean Denis, and Leopold Rodrigue; three sisters, Sister Denis Rodrigue, Elise R. Benoit, and Hulda R. Martin; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Granier, Sr.; her parents, Denis and Elma Marse Rodrigue; one son, Edmond Granier; and one granddaughter, Janelle Granier.

Myrthee was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. She was a past member of the Ladies Altar Society.

Visitation is Wednesday, September 26, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
