Nakia “Cupcake” Bonvillain, 32, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009.

She is survived by her mother, Emma Ann Bonvillain; sister, Lisa (James) King; brother, Kenneth (Tiffany) Pledger; eight nieces; three nephews; five aunts; three uncles; and a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Alton Charles; grandparents, Willie Sr. and Emma Ruthledge Bonvillain and Octave Sr. and Eunice Celestine Charles; uncles, Albert, Earl, Harry and Willie Bonvillain II, Thomas Williams, Elmon Torrey Sr. and Chester Nixon Sr.; aunts, Joyce Lebouf, Florence Williams, Leola Mae Torrey, Ora Mae Norman and Jacqueline and Beverly Bonvillain; and cousins, Theresa, Tammy and Blake Bonvillain, Gregory Maryland Jr., Elmon Torrey Jr. and Christina Celestine.
