Nakiya Jalae Sharrett, 8 months, a native and resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Saturday, June 14.

She is survived by her parents, Jesqueak Nicholas and Nakia Sharrett, both of Donaldsonville; brother, Jaquiell Nicholas of Donaldsonville; her grandparents, Irene Sharrett of Donaldsonville, Michael Thomas of Ewellsville and Donna Nicholas of Donaldsonville; her great-grandmothers, Ora Southall Thompson of Donaldsonville and Mildred Thomas of Ewellville; and numerous relatives.


She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Wesley; and brother, David Nicholas.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville followed by a religious service. She will be buried at Ausberry Methodist Church Cemetery in White Castle, La.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
