Nefta Cheramie Galliano, 90, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died Monday, May 12, 2014.
Mrs. Galliano was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed family trips, camping, trawling with her husband, yard work and fooling with her flowers. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by her children, Diana (Anthony) Allemand, Michael (Sylvia) and Joseph (Gail) Galliano and Sylvia Holmes; brother, Edwin Cheramie; sister, Rose St. Pierre; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie Galliano; and parents, Amadee and Aliska Cheramie.
Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
