‘N-word’ put to rest in Terrebonne Parish

Nell Guise Dupre, 71, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Monday, August 6, 2007 at 6:30 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Alley Dupre; two sons, Alton Dupre and Earl Dupre; five daughters, Betty Guidry, Belinda Boudwin, Linda LeBouef, Peggy Nelton and Shirlene LeBouef; two brothers, Nolan Guise and Wilton Guise; 22 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Guise and Laura Domangue Guise; three brothers, Ernest, Wilson and Arthur Guise Jr.; two sisters, Nina Guise and Fannie Guise; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 7, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 8, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin, with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
