Nellie Toups Dufrene, 72, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Roland Dufrene; son, Stuart Dufrene; daughter, Valerie (Darrin Menendez) Duhon; sisters, Sally Gros, Katherine Himel, Leona “Poopie” Thibodaux and Gloria Lambert; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Leona Thibodaux Toups; one daughter, Monica Landry; and two brothers, Wilton and Junius Toups.
She is buried at St. Gertrude Catholic Church.
