Nelson P. Freeman, 66, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Niceville, Fl., died Saturday, January 16, 2008.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth Freeman of Niceville; brother, Wilson Freeman and wife, Barbara, of Houma; children, Richard Francis and wife, Jeni, of Niceville, Kenny Francis and wife, Debra Kennedy, of Niceville, Deborah Maksymyk and husband, John, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fl., Randolph Francis of Niceville, Robert Francis and wife, Wendy, of Niceville and Christopher Francis and wife, Dolly, of Crestview, Fl.; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives.


Nelson served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years. He worked with his employer Donnie Howell at Coastal Lumber and Niceville Cash and Carry for 32 years.

He was a member of the Church of God in Niceville.

Funeral services were held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville.

Heritage Gardens Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
