Nelson Joseph Falgout Jr., 87, a resident of Lafourche Parish, La., died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014.
Mr. Falgout was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, VFW, American Legion and was a past member of the Grand Marshall Club of Raceland, La. He retired from Furlow Laugfton after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Falgout; daughter, Cynthia Plaisance; son, Nelson Falgout III; stepchildren, Diane Saadi, Cheryl Breaux and Velma Westbrook; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Falgout; parents Nelson Falgout Sr. and Alfreda Chauvin; and sisters, Edna Bernard and Hazel LeBlanc.
Burial is at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church Cemetery in Raceland. (Falgout)
