Nho Huu Nguyen, 67, a native of Thanh Hoa Sam Son, Vietnam, and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, April 5, at 11:45 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Hoa Thi Nguyen of Houma; sons, Tony Nguyen of Avondale, La., Quang Nguyen of Port Arthur, Tx., Phuong “Jessie” Nguyen of Houma, Long Nguyen of Baton Rouge, La. and Peter Nguyen of Harvey, La.; daughters, Lan Nguyen of Harvey, Kathleen Nguyen of Baton Rouge, Ann Nguyen of Houma, Lisa Nguyen of Westwego, La. and Linda Nguyen of Baton Rouge; brothers, Am Nguyen of Florida and Cong Nguyen of Vietnam; sisters, Sy Nguyen of San Jose, Ca., and Trang Nguyen of Houma; 25 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Yen Huu Nguyen and Mong Thi Nguyen.

He was a self-employed retired fisherman and a member of the Vietnamese Mission Center.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11. Visitation will resume 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Chauvin Funeral Home with mass to follow at the Vietnamese Mission Center. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
