Nicholas “Nick” Morvant, 26, a resident of Chackbay, LA. and a native of Vacherie, LA., died Sunday, January 14, 2007.


Visitation will be from 8 to 11 a.m. funeral time, in which mass will take place, Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Marlene Morvant Baye; his father, Keith “Smitty” Morvant and Darla Dotson; his stepfather, Luke Baye; his sister, Jennifer Morvant Lirette and Daniel; his maternal grandparents, Betty and Patrick Becnel; his paternal grandparents, Wallace and Joanne Morvant; his nieces and nephews, Peter, Ragusa III, Izabella Lirette, and Piper Lirette, and his godfather, Dennis Morvant.

Landry’s Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
