Nicole McClain Liechty, 32, a native of Flat Rock, Mi., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died in the early morning hours of Friday, October 3.


She is survived by her husband, Peter Liechty, M.D.; her parents, Brad and Patricia Ryan McClain; her mother-in-law, Rita Liechty; her grandparents, William “Bill” and Ellen Ryan and Marian McClain; her great-grandmother, Jean Ryan; one brother, Nathan McClain; and one sister, Nina McClain.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, George Liechty; her grandfather, John McClain; and her great-grandfather, Albert Ryan.


She graduated from Flat Rock High in 1994, Hope College in 1998 and Loyola Law School in 2002. She is a member of the Alabama State Bar and enjoyed a wonderful career at Starnes and Atchism Law firm in Birmingham, Al., since 2002. She loved and was loved by her family and friends.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, at St. Joseph Co-cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
