Nolan A. Guidroz Sr., 90, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Marrero, La., died at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, with his wife, daughter, son-in-law and their two children and grandson at his side in Raceland, La., Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at 3:25 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Marie Robichaux Guidroz; son, Nolan A. Guidroz Jr.; daughters, Rosemary Guidroz Bulmer, Helen Guidroz Percle and Judy Guidroz Danos and husband, Connie; brother, Edwin Guidroz; sister, Hazel Bourgeois; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Alcida Bruce Guidroz; brothers, Harris Guidroz and Roman Guidroz; sisters, Josephine LeBlanc and Gertrude Guidroz; and one grandchild.

He was a retired carpenter with Local No. 1846 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post No. 222 in Marrero and Post No. 83 in Lockport. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife and family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and their caregivers for the time and support at his daughter’s home.
