September 23, 2011Noles C. Duet, 82, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Hazelhurst, Miss., died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011.
Mr. Duet was a retired port captain with Tidewater and a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Elizabeth) and Jude (Katherine) Duet; brothers, Raymond and Eddie Duet; sisters, Mary Hebert, Louverda Duet, Carol Rousse and Elois Melancon; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Duet; parents, Leo and Noiscia Duet; daughters, Maria and Johnette Duet; brother, Livingston Duet; and sisters, Wilma Duet and Genevieve Boudoin.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., with religious services to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin. (Samart)
