Norman A. Rigaud, 73, a native and resident of Grand Isle, La., died Wednesday, March 4, at 2:10 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Sarah Godwin Rigaud; son, Edward Rigaud; daughter, Annette Rigaud; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Rigaud; brothers, Maxine, Arthur, Theard and Edmond Rigaud; and sisters, Artenase Guidry, Josephine Hess and Florence LeBlanc.

He served 26 years with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and was co-owner of Sarah’s Restaurant in Grand Isle. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church.

Burial was at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church Cemetery on Grand Isle.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
