September 21, 2010Norman Paul DarDar Jr., 56, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.
Mr. DarDar spent the majority of his life as a commercial fisherman and working throughout the Gulf region.. In recent years he spent many days with his good friend Todd Fanguy in their marsh restoration projects throughout Chauvin. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph and a member of the United Houma Nation.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Domangue; sons Norman III and Davin DarDar; brother, Kerry Gregory; sisters, Melissa Foret and Lynn Dupree; and many good friends, including Susan and Terry DarDar.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Chauvin Funeral Home with a private interment Wednesday, Sept. 22 in Point-Aux Chenes, La.
