Norman Earl Hampton Jr., 37, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, July 20.


He is survived by his mother, Shirley Hampton of Thibodaux; two sons, Treyale Brown of Thibodaux and Simon Hampton of Lake Charles, La.; one daughter, Ranaisa Anderson of Raceland, La.; two sisters, Lucretia Hampton of Thibodaux and Taris Boyd of Raceland; two brothers, Ranell Thomas of Thibodaux and Micheal Hampton of Texas; and one grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Earl Hampton Sr.; one brother, Craig Walker; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Hampton and Eldora Thomas.

He was Baptist. His hobbies included working on cars.

A religious service at 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church in Houma with burial to follow at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery in Lafourche Crossing La.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
