Norman Joseph “Slim” Pitre, 82, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.
Mr. Pitre was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the Larose Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Isabelle “Bon” Pitre; son, Gary (Terry) Pitre; sister, Rita Savoie; and one grandchild, Derrick Pitre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nickles and Lydia Pitre; son, Ted “Buckshot” Pitre; three brothers, Lawrence, Linberg and Anatol Pitre; and two sisters, Irene Ledet and Lorrine Guidry.
He is buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
